About The Project

SRS Group NZ Ltd contributed to the architectural detailing of the newly completed Atlas House Headquarters in Takapuna, delivering a range of bespoke fabrication and architectural rigging solutions that support both the building’s design intent and long term performance.

Atlas House brings together retail, storage, office, and rooftop amenity spaces within a single consolidated facility. Jonathan Whealer Architects incorporated into the design a reduced ‘embodied carbon’ approach through the use of alternative concrete mixes, reflecting a focus on more efficient and considered construction methods. The building’s form and detailing support a practical, collaborative working environment, with external concrete fins providing shading, definition, and a clear architectural identity.

Scope of Work

Roof Terrace Balustrade

Manufacture and installation of a roof terrace balustrade utilising Carl Stahl X-TEND R XT3 mesh (concealed perimeter frames). The system delivers a refined, transparent safety solution that maintains open views while complementing the building’s contemporary aesthetic.

Stairwell Handrails

Precision-fabricated stainless steel handrails were installed throughout the internal and external stairwells. Designed for durability, daily use, and compliance with New Zealand building codes, the handrails provide a clean and understated architectural finish.

Greenwall System

Design and installation of a bespoke greenwall system, introducing a living element to the building and enhancing both the sustainability profile and visual presence of the façade.

Project Outcome

Atlas House Headquarters demonstrates SRS Group’s capability to deliver integrated architectural rigging and fabrication solutions for high specification commercial developments. From early coordination through to installation, the SRS team worked closely with the architect and contractor to ensure each element was executed with precision and aligned with the overall vision of the project.
